A silent angel glideth, throughout this world he goes,
His comfort he provideth for earthly needs and woes,
And in his glance, he showeth his mildness far and wide.
O follow where he goeth, this patient angel guide.
He faithfully does lead thee all through this painful clime,
So pleasantly he tells thee about a home sublime.
If thou would be despondent, he will encourage thee.
O, bear thy cross! He's present to help and comfort thee.
He helps in all thy weakness, thy greatest griefs to bear.
