Lyrics
Behold how beauteous, how good and pleasant,
When among brethren true union dwells!
When hand in hand
To heaven's land land,
A host of brethren fares,
And sweet communion they do share
Upon their journey there.
There I would tarry, there make my dwelling,
Although a cottage but poor and small;
Where love doth reign,
There we disdain
All earthly treasures dain dear;
There we are rich and of good cheer
In all our labors here!
May we find concord abiding ever,
Love's sacred bond where the brethren dwell;
May unity
Forever be be
That naught our hearts divide;
To joy eternal, God shall guide
His own, thus unified.
When among brethren true union dwells!
When hand in hand
To heaven's land land,
A host of brethren fares,
And sweet communion they do share
Upon their journey there.
There I would tarry, there make my dwelling,
Although a cottage but poor and small;
Where love doth reign,
There we disdain
All earthly treasures dain dear;
There we are rich and of good cheer
In all our labors here!
May we find concord abiding ever,
Love's sacred bond where the brethren dwell;
May unity
Forever be be
That naught our hearts divide;
To joy eternal, God shall guide
His own, thus unified.
