O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
The grave of Christ, the risen Lord,
Is vacant where He lay;
The Son is victor over death;
Whoe'er believes is saved.

The wisdom of the scribes was vain.
And though they watched with care,
And sealed the stone before His tomb,
In vain their efforts were.

Their cunning arts and wisdom brought,
To them disgrace and shame
For God's own wisdom was beyond
Their thoughts and earthly fame.

The way of truth which God revealed
Was hidden from their sight.
For after death the living soul
Shall rise to life and light.

Hallelujah! The Lord arose.
Our ransom now is paid.
The Son is victor over death,
Whoe'er believes is save.
