O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Our great God, we praise Thee now,
Lauding Thee with exultation;
The whole earth before Thee bows
And adores Thy great creation.
As As Thou, Lord, hast been of yore,
Thou wilt stay forevermore.

Ev'rything shall sing Thy praise;
Cherubim and seraphs' voices
Praise and honor to Thee raise.
And the angel host rejoices,
Calling ever without rest,
"God, Thy holy name be blest!"

Great and small shall sing Thy praise
Over all Thy great creation.
To Thee, Father, God of grace,
Sings the holy congregation,
And we honor on His Throne,
Lord, Thy dear, beloved Son.

And Thy church within the pow'r
Of Thy Spirit's inspiration
Sings to Thee, our God and King;
Thou our joy and consolation.
We are ransomed by Thy blood,
Baptized in the cleansing flood.

Thou, the Father's only Son,
Cam'st to give mankind redemption;
From Thy throne Thou didst descend
Here to make Thy habitation.
Grace and mercy came from Thee,
And from sin we now are free.

Open now is heaven's gate;
And our Saviour's interceding
Reconciles us unto God
When in faith He hears our pleading.
Fin'lly comes Thy Judgment day,
Time and hour we can not say.

Lord, protect Thy children all;
Hear their humble supplication.
Thou didst for our ransom, Lord,
Bear the cross and tribulation.
When our transient life is gone,
Take us to our heav'nly home.

Graciously behold Thy flock;
Help and bless Thy heirs forever.
Lead us in Thy righteous paths;
From the enemy deliver.
Hear our earnest pray'r and plea:
Lord, Thy coming we would see.
