Guide me O Thou Great Jehovah,
Safely guide me day by day;
Let me feel Thy gentle presence
As I walk the narrow way;
When temptations shall assail me,
And the way seems dark and lone,
Let me feel that Thou art near me,
Safely guiding, leading on.

Tho' the world may try to charm me
With the pleasures of the day,
With Thy loving arms around me
I can never, never stray;
Tho' the storms of life shall gather,
With the tempests raging wild,
Resting in Thy loving favor,
Naught can harm Thy trusting child.

Guide me Thou O Blessed Spirit
O'er the weary hills of life;
Give me strength to fight the battle,
Give me grace to meet the strife;
Keep me ever in Thy service
Till my labors all are o'er;
Till I reach Life's golden sunset
And be saved forevermore.
