O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Text from St. Luke 2:14

Lyrics
Hark! what mean those holy voices,
Sweetly sounding thro' the skies,
Lo! th'angelic host rejoices,
Heav'nly hallelujahs rise.

Listen to the wondrous story
Which they chant in hymns of joy,
"Glory in the highest, glory!
Glory be to God most high!

"Peace on earth, goodwill from heaven,
Reaching far a man is found,
Souls redeem'd and sins forgiven—
Loud our grateful harps shall sound.

"Christ is born, the Great Anointed!
Heav'n and earth His praises sing:
O receive whom God appointed
For your Prophet, Priest, and King.

"Hasten, children, to adore Him!
Leart His name to magnify,
Till in heav'n ye sing before Him,
Glory be to God most high!"
