O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Jesus lives! I live with Him.
Death no more my soul shall frighten.
Now He lives, and at His call,
From death's sleep I shall awaken;
I am glorified in Thee;
This my confidence shall be.

Jesus lives! O'er all the world
Pow'r supreme to Him is given.
With my Saviour I shall live;
I shall reign with Him in heaven.
Thus in God confiding still;
He His promise will fulfill.

Jesus lives! Do not despair,
He shall show His great compassion
To the sinner who repents;
Perfect shall be his remission.
Thou shalt hear the sinner's plea;
This my confidence shall be.

Jesus lives! And I shall find
Life in Him and full salvation.
Ne'er oppose Him;
He shall then
Make your heart His habitation.
Weakness is o'ercome in Thee;
This my confidence shall be.

Jesus lives! No pow'r of night
From the Lord my soul shall sever.
Sorrows may come o'er the way,
Yet I'll cling to Him forever.
Light and faith I find in Thee;
This my confidence shall be.

Jesus lives! Henceforth is death
But the gate to life immortal;
This shall calm my trembling breath,
When I pass its gloomy portal.
Faith shall cry, as fails each sense:
Jesus is my confidence.

Jesus, my Redeemer, lives!
Hence I shall to life awaken.
O what joy this message gives!
How then can my hope be shaken?
For how could our blessed Head
Rise and leave His members dead?

By the bond of hope and love
I am bound unto the Master.
Faith looks up to Him above,
Rests on Him through all disaster.
Even death now cannot keep
From my Shepherd me, His sheep.

Who here suffers, sighs, and yearns,
There will walk in glorious splendor;
Here my flesh to dust returns,
There it will arise in grandeur.
Sown here in mortality;
There it's risen gloriously.

Then rejoice, His children dear,
In His guidance and protection;
Death may come, but do not fear:
There shall be a resurrection
When the final trump shall call,
From the graves awaking all!
