Jesus was fast asleep and worn
When his diciples cried, he calmed the storm.
When they landed on the other side,
A man with many devils did there abide.
Then Jesus said to the devils, "Go!"

Jesus walked on the stomy sea.
Then his diciples cried, "Who could this be?"
Peter cried out, "O Lord, is it you?
If so, Lord, may I walk on the water, too?"
Then Jesus said to bold Peter, "Come!"

Jesus now crucified and gone.
Hear his diciples say, "How were we wrong?"
Mary found the boulder rolled away,
"Where did you take him, Gard'ner? Tell me, I pray."
Then Jesus said to the weeping, "Mary!"

Jesus, now glorified, lives on.
And intercedes for us at God's great throne.
We are porters of our Savior's house.
Call to the faithful servants, "Christians arouse!"
And Jesus says to his children, "Watch!"

Chorus:
Just one word, and the devils trembled!
Just one word, Peter's faith grew strong.
Just one word, Mary knew her Savior.
Just one word, he'll return before long!
