O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Let your whole life be an off'ring
To God and to Christ the Lord.
None who here to Him surrender
Will regret it, for His Word
Gives us peace, And release,
Sweet rest after battles cease.

He who soweth will be gath'ring;
O, my loved ones, this is true.
If but many this were learning
What the Lord for us would do.
If we thus, Without loss
Sow as He does ask of us.

As the stars in yonder heaven
Give light to this earthly sphere,
Thus also who in this tumult
Sows good seed to God's praise here,
Clothed divine, He shall shine,
As the stars do all the time.

'Tis important to be striving
For this goal, O, child of God,
And to realize the calling
Wherefore we live on this sod,
Not that we, Gath'ring be
Riches here that only flee.

No, to work our own salvation,
For this reason we are here;
Not to study wicked fashion,
But to shun all evil here.
For this old world and gold
Will once vanish, we are told.

Oh, if we are ever ready
To serve Jesus day by day,
Sacrifice our soul and body,
Bear each burden by the way,
We shall fear, Nothing here,
For the Lord is always near.

Oh, my brethren, then surrender
To your Saviour, give your all;
Dearly love His every member,
Keep a childlike heart withal.
Love in peace; never cease;
This your Lord will greatly please.

Love should grow anew each morning,
Love itself in works should show,
Should each member be adorning,
Christ in us where'er we go!
Then, well so! Love's pure glow
Gives to faith the power to do.

Brethren, O, what bliss we're sharing
When true love inspires our lives;
With the weak one gladly bearing,
Love here for perfection strives;
Fervently Glad we'll be
Now and in eternity.

Where the true love is forsaken,
There is death and emptiness;
There forgotten is the Saviour;
Life is then filled with distress.
Then we stray, From the way,
Stumbling on from day to day.

Let us then be up and doing;
Satan would our work undo,
And, the glow of love subduing,
Quench our joy in Jesus too,
That we may Not each day
Live to honor God alway.

They who love the Saviour dearly,
And not for vain pleasures seek,
Glad for that which He provideth;
Will be happy, blest and meek.
And their peace Ne'er shall cease;
Heaven will their joy increase.
