Lyrics
Teach me yet more of Thy blest ways,
Thou holy Lamb of God;
And fix and root me in the grace,
So dearly bought with blood.
Oh, tell me often of each wound,
Of ev'ry grief and pain;
And let my heart with joy confess,
From hence comes all my gain.
For this, oh, may I freely count,
Whate'er I have but loss;
And ev'ry name, and ev'ry thing,
Compared with Thee but dross.
Engrave this deeply on my heart,
With an eternal pen;
That I may, in some small degree,
Return Thy love again.
Thou holy Lamb of God;
And fix and root me in the grace,
So dearly bought with blood.
Oh, tell me often of each wound,
Of ev'ry grief and pain;
And let my heart with joy confess,
From hence comes all my gain.
For this, oh, may I freely count,
Whate'er I have but loss;
And ev'ry name, and ev'ry thing,
Compared with Thee but dross.
Engrave this deeply on my heart,
With an eternal pen;
That I may, in some small degree,
Return Thy love again.
