O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Blessed rest, when earthly toil is ended,
Shall be mine in all eternity,
From the Father, who His call extended
To me, that I serve Him faithfully!
O how blest, to cease from toil and care,
Then to enter, Then to enter heaven's rest so fair!

Yea, there is a heav'nly rest awaiting
All the faithful servants of the Lord!
To the faithful, over sin prevailing
Shall the Lord a crown of life award.
Blest shall be our lot when struggles cease,
When forever faith receiveth its reward and praise!

Heav'nly bliss, consoling soothing rapture
From above anoints the holy heart,
Where we've overcome all pain and torture
God will bid our tears and grief depart,
O how glad our souls shall be and blest,
When forever, when forever peacefully we rest.

In that everlasting, peaceful mansion
We in blest and tranquil joy shall rest,
Ever near the Son who paid the ransom
Lay our head upon His loving breast,
O my Shepherd, take me now with Thee,
Where forever, where forever near Thee I may be!

Heaven's dwelling, peaceful habitation,
Which for me the Father hath prepared!
When I reach my journey's destination
Let Thy mansions unto me be shared!
Take me, Jesus, to that blessed place
Where as Salem's citizen I e'er shall see Thy face!
