As children 'round a light!
We pray Thee, Lord, that Thou come near,
And guide our hearts aright.
Give us like unto Lydia
An open heart and ear.

Through bolted doors appear!
O Lord, we pray to us reveal
Thy words of grace and might,
Which Thou from him dost not conceal
Who seeketh truth and light.
