O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Why should sorrow ever ever grieve me?
Christ is near. Who can here
E'er of Him deprive me?
Who can rob me of my treasure,
Which God's Son For me won,
Suff'ring in full measure?

Weak was I and emptyemptyhanded
When on earth At my birth
My first breath was granted;
Helpless, too, when death o'ertakes me,
Shall I go From life's woe,
When my breath forsakes me.

My possessions and my and my living
Are not mine; God divine
All to me is giving.
What He gave will I restore Him;
Though bereft Of each gift,
Still shall I adore Him.

What are all these earthly treasures
But a hand Full of sand
And but fleeting pleasures.
Yonder are the real possessions;
Christ prepares, And He shares
Them without cessation.

Lord, Thou Fount of all true pleasure!
I am Thine; Thou art mine.
E'er will I Thee treasure.
I am Thine, for Thou hast bought me;
Lost I stood, But Thy blood
Free salvation brought me.

Thou art mine; I love and own Thee.
Light of Joy, e'er shall I
In my heart enthrone Thee.
Saviour, let me soon behold Thee
Face to face. May Thy grace
Evermore enfold me!
