Sohren taught school in Westpreussen (West Prussia), and served as cantor and organist at Elbing (near Danzig), and for a while (1675?) at Dirschau. His works include:

* An enlarged edition of Johann Crüger’s Praxis Pietatis Melica, 1668
* Musikalischer Vorschmack, 1683
