O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
This day, O Lord, we come to Thee and ask for grace to pray.
Our hearts are filled with joy, O Lord, for this, a wedding day.
We ask Thy blessing on this day and for this bride and groom;
We pray Thy peace upon them now, and all within this room.

For richer or for poorer and in sickness and in health,
They promise now their faithfulness, more precious than all wealth;
For better or for worse, O Lord, they promise ne'er to part.
What God has joined together, now, let man not put apart.

Lord, hear them when they pray to Thee, protect them from all sin,
And guide them with Thy light upon this path they now begin.
Together may they trust in Thee, and as a family
Depend upon Thy grace each day, and live life joyfully.

O Lord, we pray Thy blessing on the union of these hearts,
Whose lives are drawn together with a promise ne'er to part.
Please be their unseen guest at home each hour of ev'ry day,
And let Thy peace abide within their hearts in ev'ry way.

These marriage vows are sacred ones that two shall now be one,
And with Thee, Lord, this threefold chord shall not be fast undone.
May Thy great love be with them, Lord, and now we pray again
Thy blessing on this wedding day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
