O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
We know that all things work for good for those called by the Lord,
According to His purpose; yes, God's Word does this record.
It is a promise full of hope for Christians ev'rywhere
To stand upon, believe upon, assurance God does care!
Encompassing all things in life that daily come our way,
Eternal is this truth divine, unchanging, come what may.
For us to always trust and know God's plan for ev'ryone,
According to His purposes, will always be well done!

Some things we do not understand: untimely death or loss;
A shattered dream, a grieving heart, a burden or a cross;
Long suffering, a wayward soul, when evil does abound;
We must commit suchh mysteries to God where grace is found!
For those redeemed, those called by God all things will work for good,
When they can trust, commit to God, in faith, the things they should.
And by His grace, new courage see, to do the best they can,
Amidst adversity they may fulfill God's perfect plan!

As potter works the clay for shape, for purpose is his use,
So God does mold our destiny, direct as He would choose.
Tho' rich or poor, if strong or weak, in sorrow or in joy,
When we accept God's will for us, His peace we will enjoy!
And yet sometimes our vision clouds from mysteries so deep;
It's then we need the Lord to guide, our soul restore and keep.
By faith we'll rise above the world, believing ev'ry day,
That God does see and know what's best; His perfect will obey!

So when the clouds obscure the light, and darkness would descend,
Remember that the Lord is true; upon His Word depend.
And know that all things work for good for those called by the Lord,
According to His purpose; what assurance from God's Word!
God is our Refuge and our Strength, a Present help in need;
The Keeper of our sould is He, redeeming us indeed.
We need not fear mortality, what comes with earthly strife,
For in the end God saves our soul; we win eternal life!
