O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Art thou fearful? See the Pilot
Who our ship doth safely guide;
Unto whom we are most precious,
Who directs us through the tide
To the haven, To the haven
Which He does for us provide.

Here on earth we'll no more tarry,
For here Satan is revealed;
God's own truth bids us to hasten,
Though our course with storms be filled;
Thus renouncing, Thus renouncing
All the gain this world can yield.

Though the shore to which we journey
Only through God's Word is known;
Yet our hopes shall not prove fruitless
Trusting in His pledge alone;
Thus we venture, Thus we venture
All we have to be Christ's own.

Onward through the surging billows,
Through the raging, stormy sea,
We shall conquer, for the Saviour
Stays on board, thus dangers flee.
Storms and tempests, Storms and tempests
Yield to Him obediently.

Courage, brethren, we are nearing
Blessed joys when pain is o'er;
Let the billows foam and threaten,
Storm and death shall be no more!
Peace and stillness! Peace and stillness!
Christ's Word rules on that blest shore.
