O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Assembled congregation,
With thanks and adoration,
Before God's throne appear.
With pray'r and supplication
Each heart shall seek occasion
To see the light of grace so clear.

In silence give attention,
The Lord will cheer and strengthen
With His own word and hand.
If earnestly we seek Him,
And pray'rfully entreat Him,
He'll not let us as orphans stand.

His word is full of promise;
His angels He'll admonish
His servants to attend,
Who in His grace are sharing,
And here on earth preparing
For that bright home and happy land.

Send, Lord, Thy holy teaching
To us in humble preaching,
Yet in the Spirit's pow'r,
That we, a new creation,
In love and true devotion
May bear our burden ev'ry hour.

Thy Word alone enlightens,
With light and power brightens
What seems a mystery.
It gives us understanding
In living faith expanding,
Subduing ev'ry enemy.

Inspire, O Lord, each servant
With love and ardor fervent
Thy gospel to proclaim;
That, prompted by Thy Spirit,
They work and toil with merit
Unto the glory of Thy name.

Thy messengers Thou sendest,
By them to us extendest
The living Bread of heav'n.
That none of us may perish,
Arouse our hearts to cherish
The grace and healing to us given.

Give faithful servants ever
Who have but one endeavor,
Thy Gospel to proclaim;
Who heed Thy Spirit holy
And strive and labor solely,
O, Lord, to glorify Thy name.

O Father, be the Giver
Of Jesus' powers ever
Unto Thy children here;
Let more and more be given
The inner life from heaven
To all who pray with heart sincere!

O, bind together fully
With love's devotion holy
Thy people, dearest Lord,
For whom Thy blood was given
To ransom them for heaven.
O, hallow them and keep them, Lord!
