O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Have you read in the Bible that someday time will end,
When our Father in heaven sends His Son?
As the flashing of lightning from the east to the west,
O His coming will startle ev'ryone.

Now the sky shall be rolled back like a scroll when He comes,
With a shout Christ shall come to claim His own;
And the dead shall be resurrected up from the grave,
With the living they'll meet and shall be known.

Then shall two women grinding at the mill be surprised,
One will go while the other one must stay;
And a man in a field will be shocked and amazed
For his friend will be raptured on that day.
O alas for the soul who has not heeded God's Word,
Condemnation shall be his just reward;
But the soul who has Jesus in his heart will be saved
And will shout acclamation to the Lord!

Now my friend are you ready for this day of the Lord,
When He comes for the rapture of His saints?
Will you rise up to meet Him as the trumpet will sound,
Will you be in the clouds with all the saints?

Chorus:
At the sound and at the call,
We shall rise up to the sky!
O what joy when we receive our reward:
Life eternal in heaven by and by.
