O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Long ago in Bethlehem, did unfold a wondrous plan,
'Tis a plan for you and me, as a gift from God to man.
As foretold by men of old, God would send His only Son,
Herald Angels would proclaim, "Peace on earth to ev'ryone!"

Shepherds watched their flocks by night,
Near this town of Bethlehem,
In the heavens up above, shown a brilliant star for them.
Then the angels did appear, with a chorus sweet and clear,
With triumphant voices they sang, "Christ is born!" for all to hear!

At the stable near the inn,
There the shepherds found it so,
Christ, the Babe, was there to see,
Their Messiah they would know.
Soon the wise men would appear, on their journey from afar,
Bringing gifts for their new King, guided by His Heav'nly Star!

Now this Babe of Bethlehem,
Would grow up to be a man,
Soon He would proclaim to all,
Full redemption is God's plan.
He would die upon the cross, rise again as Lord of all,
Now God's plan has been fulfilled, saving all who heed His call!

Chorus:
Christ is born, Hallelujah!
Angels sing! Hallelujah!
Christ is born, Hallelujah!
Voices ring! Hallelujah!
Through the valley and the plain,
"Peace on earth!" O glad refrain!
Joy for earth and all mankind!
Hope and love for all to find!
Angels sing in chorus bright, while the stars shine in the night!
Christ is born for you and me and from sin can set you free!
Christ is born, O praise His name, these glad tidings now proclaim!
Christ is come, yes, He is here!
Christ is born!
