O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
How great is God's Almighty goodness;
Is there a soul it does not stir?
Or are there hearts of sin and hardness
That choke the Word and thanks deter?
To comprehend His love and kindness,
Our greatest duty e'er shall be.
O soul, remember God's great goodness,
For He hath not forgotten thee.

O, who has graciously prepared me?
'Tis God, whose child I now shall be.
O, who with patience here has led me?
'Tis God, whose counsel I did flee.
Who strengthens peace in my frail conscience?
Who gives my spirit pow'r anew?
Who lets me joy and bliss experience?
Is it not God who all does do?

And should I not give honor to Him,
And all God's blessings understand?
Or when He calls, should I not hear Him,
And follow as God does command?
His Will is written in my spirit;
His Word confirms it evermore.
All men I'll love through God's own merit,
Yet, more than all, my Lord adore.

O, Lord, Thy goodness does inspire
A consecration unto Thee.
It strengthens in me pure desire;
O may I always thankful be!
His Word's a comfort when I'm grieving,
It leads me to His peace and love,
And in my heart I'll trust, believing
He'll grant me rest in heav'n above.
