God is my song!
He is the Lord Almighty!
Great is His Name,
Great are His works and mighty;
Lo, all the heav'ns to Him belong!
He spoke His will
And earth sprang into being;
At His command,
The earth and heaven fleeing,
Shall in the end His Word fulfill.
His robe is light,
And just are His commandments;
He reigns as God
And, from His throne, the judgments
Are altogether true and right.
The Lord is near
Wherever thou art dwelling;
Men seek to hide,
To Or seas or heaven fleeing;
His presence yet is ev'rywhere.
No sparrow, Lord,
Shall fall unless Thou will it;
How this great truth
Consoles my heart and stills it!
My life is in Thy hand, O Lord!
When God is near,
When He is my protection,
From earth and sky
I need not seek direction.
Yea, hell itself I will not fear!
