O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Once a man was on trial for his Savior.
For his faith and belief they asked him why.
Stephen stood and spoke boldly to the council,
Then he cried out and pointed to the sky.

Then the council decreed that he was guilty;
For his faith now they said he broke the law.
He must die for they just could not believe it,
Even though Stephen told them what he saw.

Now my friend do you love and serve the Savior?
Can you stand up like Stephen did that day?
When the Lord comes again for all His children,
Will you be with the ransomed as they say:

Soon the trumpet will sound and time will finish.
Christ will rapture the ones who love His Word.
In that city resplendent all in glory,
We will sing and bring praises to our Lord!

Chorus:
I see Jesus, He's standing there in glory!
I see angels, they sing of God's great love!
And I see God the Father in His splendor,
In that city in heaven above!
