O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lord, Thou Art Great

Lyrics
Lord, Thou art great beyond comparing!
No tongue is worthy of declaring;
None can Thy glory comprehend.
Thy splendor prompts our adulation,
Thou fount of life for all creation;
Light is Thy garment radiant.
In Heaven's highest boundless portals,
Dwelling unseen by human eye;
Above the stars, among immortals,
Thy glorious throne is built on high!

Therefore I'll praise Thy name sincerely,
I know Thy hands hold me securely,
Guarding my soul both day and night;
All worldly lusts and ease denying,
On Thee alone am I relying,
Thou, in whom peace and joy unite;
Thou sendest balm when hearts are broken,
Thy healing grace dost Thou impart;
In joy and pain, Thy promise spoken
Gives access to Thy Father heart.

Creation waits on Thee, O Father;
In Thy abundant fields we gather
Fruits lavished by Thy bounteous Hand;
Thou satisfiest souls with goodness
Gracing our longing hearts with gladness;
Thy blessings nurture ev'ry land.
Thy visage, Lord, beams forth salvation;
Thou givest life to all the earth;
Shouldst Thou withdraw, what des olation!
Man's strength would turn to dust and dearth.

Rejoice, my soul, with jubilation!
Sing to God hymns of exaltation!
Extol His name to all mankind!
Thy wondrous works on earth abounding
Echo Thy praise in heav'n resounding,
Thou who creation has designed;
Exalt Him, all ye hosts of heaven!
Worthy is God of all acclaim;
Each knee shall bow in earth and heaven;
Each tongue confess His holy name!
