Biography
Ada was the daugh­ter of Will­iam Blenk­horn and Sar­ah Helm.

Her fa­mi­ly em­i­grat­ed to Am­er­i­ca in 1884, set­tling in Cleve­land, Ohio. She did not mar­ry.

Beginning in 1904, Ada was a sec­re­ta­ry in her bro­ther Hen­ry’s East End Real­ty Com­pa­ny. She be­came com­pa­ny pre­si­dent fol­low­ing Hen­ry’s death in 1923.

Ada Jane Blenkhorn Canada 1858-1927 Born in Cobourg, Ontario, the 10th of 11 children, she emigrated with her family to the U.S. In 1884 and settled in Cleveland, OH.. She was raised a Methodist, and began writing hymn lyrics at age 34. A prolific writer of hymn lyrics, she was about to give it up when a friend encouraged her to continue, telling her some soul might be saved by a hymn she would write. She worked for many years as secretary to her brother, Henry's, real estate company. After his death in 1923, she became president of the company. She never married.

Born in the Van Wert Ohio County Hospital on June 27, 1960, Alvin (Bud) Herman Manz, Jr. was the 3rd of 4 sons born to Betty Manz and firstborn to her second husband, Alvin.

His older siblings, John Paul Rose, Jr. (1956) and Joseph Henry Rose (1957), were born to John Paul Rose. In 1958, John Sr. passed away leaving Betty with 2 little boys to care for until she met Alvin Manz and got married to him on October 3, 1959.

Bud's younger sibling, Robert James Manz, Sr., was born on August 23, 1961.

Bud never married, instead he lives with his father just south of Defiance Ohio.
