Soldiers in the army of the Lord we are today,
Marching on to Zion with Lord who leads the way,
Fighting for the truth of God against a crafty foe,
In accord and unity with singing as we go!

In this battle for our soul, God's armor we must wear;
Shield of faith, the Spirit's sword, protect us in His care;
Righteousness upon our breast, our feet with peace are shod;
With salvation's helmet on, gird up by truth from God!

Trumpets sound the battle call, the enemy appears,
Challenging the church of God, but God will calm our fears!
Boldly with His Spirit we can fight the evil one;
Faith will keep us to the end, give hope for ev'ryone!

Soon the battle done and victory is won,
Satan and His evil ones are vanquished ev'ryone.
Heaven's glory soon appears, our Lord and God are there!
O how happy we will be, its joys forever share!
