O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
How often we sing of the joys over yonder,
How often we sigh for the glories untold;
How often in faith, on its beauties we ponder,
Its harps and its crowns, and the streets of pure gold:
But, Brother, look 'round, hear the call of the Master,
"Go out in My vineyard and labor today;"
For many are looking to you for assistance,
'Tis heaven to help them along on life's way.

How often we sing of the presence of angels,
Of mansions reserved, "At the Saviour's right hand,"
Of life everlasting we hope to inherit,
Of anthems of praise in the "Beautiful Land:"
But, Brother, take heed to the call of your neighbor,
For Jesus is calling to you as a friend;
Your mission below to lift up the fallen,
And duty and heaven forever will blend.

So thing of the good you can do all around you,
And show to the world that you are a true friend
To Him, who in love, from your sins hath redeemed you,
And bids you assistance to others to lend:
And then you will find there is beauty in living,
And heaven to earth then will seem to come down;
For when unto others in love you are giving,
You're giving to Jesus, who holdeth your crown.
