We'll ne'er forsake the Bible
For joy nor painful smart!
Of wisdom 'tis the fountain pure
And heals the wounded heart.
And though our foes shall storm and rage,
Naught shall our heart affright!
In silence bear the wrath of man,
For God doth shield the right.

Our banner of defense;
In youth or age it is our staff
And leads us now and hence.
The sun whose light illuminates
This darkened vale below,
Redemption now to all the world
Through Jesus Christ does show.

But send afar its word,
In graceful accents to proclaim
