O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Jesus, mighty Liberator,
From all bonds to make me free,
Changing scorn, disgrace, disfavor
Into heav'nly joy for me!
We demand no rest nor favor
For our flesh in earthly clime;
Deal with us as seemeth needful
Here before our parting time!

It is God's good will and pleasure
To conclude this work of love,
For in Thee is found the fullness
Of all wisdom from above;
That not one be lost nor perish
Who began this heav'nly race,
But be led from earthly tumult
To that joyful resting place.

Therefore do Thou make us perfect;
Thou couldst not do otherwise;
We are in Thy hands and power,
Bound to Thee with lasting ties,
Though we stand amid temptations
Pressing us on ev'ry side,
And our cross and tribulations
Soul and body e'er betide.

O arouse our feeble powers;
From things earthly set them free,
That our plans and all our efforts
May be hallowed, Lord, to Thee!
Far from fear of men and worry,
Far above mere reason's scope,
Past all dread of scorn and suff'ring
Lift us by our blessed hope!

Let those who were dearly purchased
Not become the slaves of man,
For since Thou hast died to save us,
Keep us pure, as is Thy plan.
Clean and spotless, true and perfect,
After Thy resemblance fair,
There is grace for all partakers
Of Thy fulness, sweet and rare.

Lord, into Thy death include us
Let with Thee be crucified
All that meets Thy disapproval;
Lead us into Paradise!
Come then, Lord, and do not tarry;
Let us never slothful be!
We shall sing with great rejoicing
When we gain our liberty.
