O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
There were shepherds abiding in the fields,
Keeping watch, keeping watch o'er their flocks by night.
And the angel of the Lord came upon them,
And the glory of the Lord shone round about them,
And the glory of the Lord, the glory of the Lord shone round about them,
And they were sore afraid, and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them:
"Fear ye not, fear ye not, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy,
Which shall be to all people, to all people;
For unto you is born this day, in the city of David,
A Saviour which is Christ the Lord."
Then suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heav'nly host,
And praising God and saying, praising God and saying:
Glory! Glory! Glory to God in the highest!
On earth peace and concord,
Unto mankind goodwill and favor!
Unto mankind goodwill and favor!
Unto mankind goodwill and favor!
Glory to God! In the highest!
Glory to God! In the highest!
On earth peace and concord.
On earth peace and concord,
Unto mankind good will and favor!
Glory! Glory! Glory to God in the highest!
On earth peace and concord,
Unto mankind goodwill and favor!
Unto mankind goodwill and favor!

CHORAL:
How shall I, Lord, receive Thee
And how Thy grace extol?
My spirit's crown and glory,
O bridegroom of my soul!
Give me the understanding
How full of light and grace
My soul may e'er esteem Thee,
In rev'rence sing Thy praise!
