O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
What joy it will be when the Prince of Peace reigneth
And ruleth the world in the millennial reign,
For now the earth groaneth 'neath sin and oppression
And war's desolations on earth do remain.

When Jesus in power and majesty ruleth
When Satan, deceiver of nations, is bound
The earth will rejoice and will bloom as a garden
And peace, so long sought, on the earth shall abound.

The swords and the spears and the chariots of iron,
The weapons of war, as the prophets foretold,
Shall all be dissolved, and remade into plow shares,
And peaceful pursuits to all men will unfold.

The wolf and the lamb and the kid and the leopard,
The lion and calf shall be led by a child,
The cow and the bear shall then all feed together
All beasts will be tamed that have roamed in the wild.

And nothing shall hurt or destroy, said the prophets,
To the ends of the earth there'll be peace and good will,
No envy, no hatred, no war's desolations,
But love and good will shall the universe fill.

The saints of this earth who have served their Redeemer
As Kings and as Priests shall have rule in that day
And then shall the proud and the mighty be humbled,
When peace, blessed peace o'er the world shall hold sway.

Refrain:
Then the beasts from the wild will be led by a child,
When Christ the Prince of Peace reigneth.
