Thro' a glass we now see darkly,
Our great God is on His throne,
We shall see and know up yonger,
As we'll then be seen and known.
Oft the way is rough and thorny,
Passing thro' this pilgrim land,
Tho' we trust with Him the reason,
Over there we'll understand.
Tho' we may not here see clearly,
All the things that God hath planned,
Yet we'll know the reason sometime,
When we reach the golden land.
So, whatever God may send us,
For His sake we'll gladly bear,
Knowing this, that if we trust Him,
We shall understand up there.
