O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Sweet as the voice as an angel,
Hope sings of beauty above,
Comes with a gentle evangel
Down from the bosom of love.
"Bear thou the cross of the Saviour,
Never in sorrow droop down,
He who hath died gives thee favor,
Starreth in heaven thy crown."

Sweet as the voice as an angel,
Cometh this message below,
Sins that are darker than crimson,
Yet shall be whiter than snow.
Brows that are old and care-weighted,
Yet shall be brightened with bloom,
Earth shall be newly created,
Death be destroyed, and the tomb.

Sweet as the voice as an angel,
Cometh God's promise complete,
Yet shall the wilderness blossom,
Yet shall the desert be sweet.
Sin shall be wiped from creation,
Love rule the great and the small,
God brings a perfect salvation,
Glory shall outshine from all.

Sweet as the voice as an angel,
Wafted the Voice from the Throne,
Jesus, the Saviour, is coming,
Coming to gather His own.
They shall be robed with His beauty,
They shall be saved from all tears,
They'll join the choirs angelic,
Thro' all love's infinite years.

Chorus:
Whispering love, O how welcome Thy voice!
Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice!
