Civilla is much better known for the hymn, "God Will Take Care of You." Her husband and collaborator, Walter, preceded her in death. For the last 29 years of her life, she made her home in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was a member of the First Christian Church. Her funeral was held on March 10, 1948 at Spring Hill and the interment was in the West View Cemetery in Atlanta.
