When I became a Christian I became a pilgrim too;
A stranger in a foreign land, its ways I will not do.
A citizen of heaven I renounced this world of sin;
I'm called to serve my Lord above, a new life to begin!
No longer is this world my home, I'm just a passing through;
But as I go I'll tell the world of life in Christ anew.
I'll point the way to heav'n above for people everywhere;
For that's my home I'm striving for, some day I'll be up there!
A sinner once, but saved by grace, all people ev'rywhere
Can be redeemed by Jesus' blood: this message I will share.
I cannot keep it to myself; no matter what the cost
This message must go out for all before a soul is lost!
My friend, the Lord does advocate a life of peace and love;
Amidst a world of fear and hate 'tis hope from heav'n above.
This world just cannot understand that life can be a joy;
In service for the Kimg of Kings, His peace you can enjoy!
