'Tis eternal from heav'n on high.
And I know that my soul can be saved by God's love,
Through His Son up in heaven above!
When I called to the Lord, then He answered my plea;
He forgave me and set me free.
Full assurance is mine, with a peace so divine;
On my path heaven's light now does shine!
Ev'ry trial and care, ev'ry burden I bear,
Can be answered by God through pray'r.
I will trust and obey in His wonderful way,
And depend on His grace ev'ry day!
What a comfort to know that God's promise is true;
