There's a land of sweet rest,
For the worn and opprest,
No tongue half its glory can tell;
There no shadow of gloom,
To its ransomed can come,
Where they speak ne'er a parting farewell.
O that land of pure joy,
Where no troubles annoy,
O when shall I go there to be
In that beautiful land,
On whose bright golden strand,
Ever floweth the calm crystal sea.
Many loved ones have gone,
And have joined that glad throng,
Who swell the sweet anthem of love;
And they wait for me there,
