Down thro' the course of history there shines a ray of light,
A light divine called faith in God, in souls who strive aright;
From Abraham to early church, to saints of yesterday,
Undimmed, unbroken is this light, shines brightly yet today!
A precious heritage of faith to dwell within our hearts,
With promises of heav'n someday, with blessings God imparts;
His faithfulness and grace each day, with Comforter who guides;
Believing in God's Holy Word, His peace with us abides!

How was it so that we were taught of faith in God, His Truth,
Then called by God, unworthy we, no matter age or youth?
'Twas long ago that humble souls, by God were called to be
Committed to His Word and Way; faith's light, by grace to see!
Unshaken they, by winds of change, their aspirations high,
With Holy Spirit, faith unfeigned, the Lord by them stood nigh;
Down thro' the age their heritage of faith was passed along,
Until today, now keepers we, of faith, to keep it strong!

It is by faith we realize God's promises of love.
May we uphold faith's heritage, its teachings from above;
Simplicity of faith portray, a light for ev'ryone;
With Godliness, contented be, 'tis then God's will is done!
I rising up, in work or play in lying down to sleep;
In all our ways acknowledge God, our soul for Him to keep;
Instructing those placed in our care, faith's seed in them instill;
For God to call, faith spring anew, according to His will!

God's purpose is for all of us, to serve, obey His will;
Salvation's story, live and tell, His plans divine fulfill;
To cherish and preserve faith's light, received from saints of old;
For those who follow after us, for them His truth uphold!
How priviledged and fortunate, that we were called by God,
To keep our heritage of faith, while on earth's path we trod;
And by His grace, pass on the faith, with purest light sublime;
Undimmed, unbroken may it shine, until the end of time!
