O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
If ever you would wonder how the world came to be,
How heaven and the universe began with light we see;
When earth and sky, the land and sea were formed in ages past;
Where ev'ry living thing today came forth from first to last;
Remember then to search the Word from God in heav'n above;
'Tis there you'll find how life began: God's origin of love!

Now some would say this Word of God is not the truth at all,
That life began from happenstance for all things great and small.
Yes some would say there was no God to make our universe.
No pow'r divine was there at all to make our world diverse.
Why things just happened to occur 'til man did come along
To see creation's finished work, to hear its wondrous song!

But deep within each heart of man there is a living soul
That yearns to be complete, at peace with That which makes him whole.
Man knows there is a Greater Pow'r that guides his destiny.
Alas! that few confess the One who lives eternally,
Creator of the universe and all that is therein.
It is for man to recognize with God all things begin!

The wonder of creation with its beauty to be seen;
The awesome pow'r of wind and sea portrayed by might so keen;
The contrast of a tiny flow'r with maountain height so tall;
Compel us then to see a God who rules o'er great and small.
There is no other rationale of how we came to be,
Then to acknowledge God on high who reigns eternally!

The changing of the seasons that we see each passing year;
The joy of birth, the loss in death, the smile and the tear;
The dawning of the morning and the setting of the sun;
Are part of God's great symphony of life for ev'ryone.
So humbly may we give Him thanks. With praise from ev'ry heart,
Acknowledge the Eternal One! O Lord, how great Thou art!
