O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Awake my soul and see,
Signs and wonders in the sky!
As scripture does fortell,
Christ's advent is drawing nigh.
Prayers through all the earth resound,
Waiting for the joyful sound.
When He comes from heaven above,
Showing His eternal love.

In the twinkling of an eye,
Shall the glorious advent be,
Redeemed of earth shall rise,
And His nail scarred body see.
Saints shall lay their armor down,
Each exchange it for a crown.
Saved by Jesus they shall stand,
In the holy happy land.

Though joyful be the day,
Yet our hearts are moved to yearn,
For souls still lost in sin,
And who hail not His return.
Prayer and pleading be our lot,
For the souls who know Him not.
May they fall at Jesus' feet,
Find in Him salvation sweet.

Hail the coming of the King;
Sainted dead again shall rise.
And with the living saints,
Meet together in the skies.
When earth's destined time is run,
And our labors are all done.
Saved of all the earth shall meet,
Bowing prostrate at His feet.
