The duties before me were many
And my heart was heavy with care.
I wondered why it must be so,
Christ said, "Do not despair."
"I have in My Will," He continued,
"A place for you and plus I give
More grace as burdens grow greater
Remember that in you I live."
My load did not grow any lighter,
My path did not straighten or smooth.
But the Holy Spirit within
Gently my worries did soothe.
Yes, someday, we will have wisdom
To know why "care-free" is not ours.
But til we know why I'll remember
In Him lies all answers and pow'rs.
