O, let us exalt our dear Lord and proclaim,
In songs of true gratitude, praise to His name!
As songs of the angels in sweetest accord,
Our thanks and our praises shall rise to the Lord.

Lyrics
Once again a night has vanished,
And the rising sun so bright,
Through its radiance fair has banished
Gloom and darkness of the night.

We, Thy children, come ascending,
Loving Father, to Thy throne,
Thanks and praise to bring before Thee,
Thee the Father, Thee the Son.

In this night of dread and darkness
Thou hast cared with watchful eye;
Thou hast given joyful vision
Of the light that draweth nigh.

God, for Thy great love and mercy
Thy redeemed Thy praises bring;
Whom throughout the night just ended
Hast protected with Thy wing.

May we find this day as ever,
Lord, Thy kind and loving face.
Vice and sin, Oh may they never
Mar the joy of Thy rich grace!

Comfort, peace and joy be given
Through Thy Holy Spirit, Lord;
May our hearts by it be driven
In Thy ways with one accord.

When we seek Thee, let us find Thee;
May our pleading voice be blest;
In our midst Thy light be kindled;
May our souls find peaceful rest.

Let Thy word in life and Spirit
To our eyes and hearts be shown;
Light and truth give all who hear it
Who with joy Thy ways have gone.

Thy supporting spirit send us;
Thy sweet peace and love bestow;
Sanctify our heart and spirit,
And Thy Spirit's impulse show.

Let Thy love our hearts inspire
That we love Thee fervently;
Let Thy cov'nant bind us nearer;
Lead our conflict valiantly.

Ev'ry day, O Lord, we pray Thee,
Let Thy blessing on us flow;
May our hearts with peace and gladness
Ever by Thy radiance glow.
